Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Sheetopsy ("the Service"), a browser-based tool for finding external references in Excel workbooks, available at sheetopsy.com. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

What the Service does

Sheetopsy scans Excel files (.xlsx, .xlsm) entirely in your browser to identify external references in formulas and named ranges. The free scan displays results on screen. A one-time payment of $5 unlocks lifetime access to CSV/PDF export for every scan you run, tied to the email address you sign in with.

The Service currently detects references in formulas and named ranges only. It does not detect references in charts, data validation, conditional formatting, pivot table sources, or embedded objects. Results are provided on a best-effort basis and should not be relied on as the sole method of auditing a workbook for external links.

Your files

Your workbook is processed locally in your browser. Sheetopsy does not upload, store, or transmit the contents of your file to any server. Only anonymous scan statistics (a count of references found) and, if you choose to pay or leave your email, your email address are sent to our servers.

Payment and access

The $5 payment is processed by our payment provider, Dodo Payments, acting as merchant of record. It is a one-time charge that grants lifetime access to report exports for the email address used at checkout, on any device, verified by signing in with that email.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service — including attempting to disrupt it, circumvent access controls, or use it to process files you do not have the right to access.

No warranty

The Service is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that it will detect every external reference in your workbook.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sheetopsy is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including decisions made based on scan results.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
