This policy explains what data Sheetopsy collects and why. The short version: your workbook never leaves your device.
Your Excel files
When you scan a file, it is read and processed entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. The file, its contents, and any data extracted from it (file names, cell contents, formulas, or paths) are never uploaded to or stored on our servers.
What we do collect
- Anonymous scan statistics — a count of how many external references were found, sent when a scan completes. Contains no file names, cell contents, or paths.
- Email address — if you leave your email to receive a free report, or pay to unlock lifetime access, we store your email to associate it with your purchase and let you sign in on future visits.
- Payment information — payments are processed by Dodo Payments; we do not receive or store your card details. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, your email, and the amount paid.
Sign-in
Signing in uses a passwordless "magic link" sent to your email via our authentication provider, Supabase. We don't store or handle passwords.
Local storage
Scan results and report data are stored in your browser's local storage so the paid report page can display them after checkout. This data stays on your device and is not synced to our servers.
Third parties we use
- Supabase — database and authentication.
- Dodo Payments — payment processing.
- Resend — delivering sign-in emails.
- Netlify — hosting.
Each of these providers processes data only as needed to provide their part of the Service.
Your rights
You can request deletion of your email and associated account data at any time by contacting us. Since we never store your workbook contents, there is no file data to delete on our end.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
